Frank Lampard has confirmed Edouard Mendy will not be available for tomorrow’s home game against Southampton. Mendy, who picked up a thigh injury on international duty with Senegal is expected to be sidelined for a couple of weeks. Speaking to the media, Lampard informed, ‘Mendy won’t be fit for the match tomorrow, we hope it won’t be too long’.
However, Lampard has refused to pick between his other two goalkeepers on who will replace him by saying ‘I’ll make that decision myself for tomorrow.’
Thiago Silva and N’Golo Kante will mostly likely miss the game due to injuries and travelling. Pulisic and Ziyech who has been sidelined due to injuries are available which should make Chelsea fans will be excited. Lampard confirmed Chilwell is in the squad after he had pulled out of the international team last week.
