Chelsea winger Victor Moses has agreed to join Russian side Spartak Moscow on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy for £8 million.
Moses, who spent last season on loan with Fenerbahce and Inter Milan has been deemed surplus to requirements at Chelsea. He has not featured for Chelsea for more than 2 years since arriving from Wigan Athletic in 2012. Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan were expected to approach Chelsea for a permanent deal as Moses thrived in the wing back role under him at Chelsea during his title winning campaign.
The Nigerian expressed his delight by saying, ‘It’s a great pleasure for me to sign for Spartak. They are one of the greatest clubs in Europe. I can’t wait to get started and meet my team-mates. It’s going to be an interesting season’.
