Jose Mourinho has taken to Instagram to take a swipe at the scheduling of international games amidst the pandemic. Mourinho had earlier complained of the lack of training sessions and time to work with his squad due to the international breaks.
Tottenham, who host Manchester City on Saturday were dealt a blow when Matt Doherty tested positive for Covid-19 on international duty with Republic of Ireland. Mourinho, who recently expressed his feelings on Instagram after Spurs shock loss to Royal Antwerp in Europa League has now taken a sarcastic swipe at the authorities for their scheduling of international games.
Seen exercising in the club’s gym, Mourinho said “Amazing week of football. Great emotions in the national team matches, superb friendlies and total safety. Covid test results after matches been played, randomers running on the pitch while team sessions are taking place and much more… After another training session with only 6 players, it is now time to take care of myself.”
