Manchester City defender Eric Garcia has tested positive for Covid-19 after latest rounds of testing. City had reported an increase in number of positives cases which led to postponement of their game against Everton.
Pep Guardiola recently confirmed five Manchester City players tested positive ahead of their game against Chelsea, and Eric Garcia could be one of them. Manchester City published a statement on Twitter confirming Garcia and a member of staff have tested positive for coronavirus.
A statement on their website read “Manchester City FC can confirm that Eric Garcia and one member of staff have tested positive for Covid-19. Both personnel will now observe a period of self-isolation in accordance with Premier League and UK Government protocol on quarantine.”
“Everyone at the club wishes our colleagues a speedy recovery ahead of their return to work, training and competition.”
