Manchester City were dealt a severe blow after their record goalscorer Sergio Aguero tested positive for Covid-19. The Argentinian missed matches against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa due to self-isolation after coming into contact with a Covid-19 positive case.
Aguero has been largely sidelined due to injuries this season, forcing Pep Guardiola to play Ferran Torres, Riyad Mahrez and De Bryune as strikers in the recent games. Guardiola recently admitted Manchester City are missing Aguero, and would like to have him back as soon as possible.
The Manchester City forward shared the news to his fans through Twitter.
Aguero is now likely to miss City’s next three games – Cheltenham, West Brom and Sheffield United.
